Aina continued to wrestle with her twin brother, pawing at him and then turned her attention towards her Uncle Blaze beginning to paw at him.
Esi had heard the wailing from Ana and padded into the room and stared at the "cub" in Ana's paws and looked up at her. "Play?" she asked wondering if she was allowed to play with thier new cub.
"What? What'd I do?" Ayo asked when he saw his mother face -pawing.

Coral glanced at Ayo before pulling him close, snickering a little. "Nothing nothing... its just.." at this point, her tone was lowered for so only Ayo could hear; "You're gonna have another sibling...~"

Ayo stared at his mother's paw as he was pulled close then listened as she whispered something to him. "Wow really?" he asked excitedly.

A few moments passed as Ayo sat there hoping that his siblings would arrive soon. "Mom...nothing's happening." he stated while staring at his mother's stomach.

Sacha glanced to young Kafeel upon her back, then lowered her pale blue gaze to her belly. She wouldn't want to raise her children in the harsh terrain of the desert that surrounded the group. Lifting her gaze, she scouted the horizon as she thought to herself for a moment. In all her travels, only one land stood out to her the most. The grass was green, the prey a'plenty. The neighboring prides were close enough for socialization, but far enough to not worry about territory wars. And she also knew for a fact that no pride had resided there in the past two months. Looking to Kawaida, a smile lit up her maw.
"Let's go home. To the Naabi Hills."
Sure, it would mean another month long trek back to Kenya, but she knew the journey would be worth it. She wanted to watch her babies grow and thrive in the land she has fallen in love with. And it would be close to Mlinzi for Kawaida's sake, knowing being far from his friends was hard on him. A pang throbbed in her chest and the raw betrayal from her pride hurt anew.
Andy blinked his eyes as his mother picked him up and stood with the other Bolsheviks. The infant was curious as to what was going on. He seen Jasiri and Aina play, so he wiggled in his mothers jaws, wanting to go play with them.
Ilari stumbled when his sister, Ishana nudged him away from her. He glanced to her with a pout, but then turned and waddled off to go find Jasiri and Aina.
Ana sniffled as she gazed down to the body wrapped in her arms. She wasn't all there in her head, and still believed that the child had lived.
"Shhh, don't cry. Momma's here. Awwh, look at you, all dirty. You take a nap while momma cleans you up."
She barely noticed Sabre's presence as she began to groom her deceased child.

Sabre looks to Ana with concern in his eyes, seeing as she attempts to clean the deceased cub. "She's in denial..." He thinks as he watches the sight. He hears Esi and speaks quietly. "No Esi...this cub's too...sleepy."

"Nap?" Esi asked thinking she had to be quiet so as not to wake up the "cub". Suddenly Ayo ran into the room. "Esi! Esi! We're getting siblings! Come look!" Esi then curiously walked out towards Coral as Ayo told his sister about thier mother's stomach.
"Mommy ok?" Esi asked once she arrived there.

"Oh...well then come on Esi! Let's go play!" then the two cubs walked off outside.

Isaak and Matylda took Nikita between them, their hearts heavy. They knew that it had come to a point that their daughter was hurt, now that their true purpose was revealed. And by Peke, of all lions. They looked about them, and noticed their compatriot, Ganya, had vanished.
"Come to think of it, she hasn't been around since the night Shura was killed for attacking Peke and Niki. You don't think..." Isaak began to say to Matylda, his voice hushed. He was silenced, however by his mate.
"That she snuck off to King Vladimir to spread some sort of lie to start war sooner? Oh that's very possible, given what you have said that you know of her," the lioness stated. Her blue eyes looked to the cub between them, and a sigh escaped her. "Come on Niki... let's go find Peke and... head home."
Kawaida looked at Sacha, stunned by the place she had suggested. It had been where they fled to during the period of time when no prey was to be found in the Heshima lands. It was where they had fled from, to the Mlinzi pride, after war was declared by Vladimir. It was close to the Bolsheviks, yet also close to the others stationed within the Mlinzi lands. "The Naabi Hills? What if we're pulled into the war? I don't think three lions and a cub will be able to hold out against two warring prides."
Blaze pawed playfully at the twin cubs, a soft chuckle escaping him. His eyes, however, were now locked on Rendarin. "You say that you do not approve of the Bolshevik pride's ambitions. What, then, does this mean? Do you imply an alliance against them?"
Huruma laid beside Wedger when all was finished. His cobalt eyes fell on each of the cubs, a warm smile stretching his lips upward. "Just think... they're our cubs."
Frost entered Brownie's chambers, finding Dhahabu there with him. Her father had spoken truly; she could smell the act on the two, as clear as day. Outrage burned furiously inside of her. She turned her attention to the brown male. "Brownie, may you please step out for a second? I'd like to speak with my mate," she said, her voice cold. Devoid of emotion. |
